There were a couple of BIG items checked off the list this week at the athletic complex!
First, the stadium scoreboard was moved from its previous location across the street and set in place. There is still work to be done to connect power, fiber, and audio cables to make the scoreboard and video board operational, but we are one step closer.
Second, and not as noticeable... yet - the entire complex outside of the three fields was seeded. With the recent heavy rains, and forecasted nice weather next week, we are hopeful to see grass coming in very soon. This is an ongoing process as there are sure to be thin spots that will have to be seeded again, but it is another big step towards completion of the project.
While the recent rains have been beneficial, it has led to a very soft and muddy complex off the sidewalks. Please, if you are attending events, keep out of the mud and keep your children out of the mud. This helps keep the sidewalks clean and allows the ground to settle properly in all areas. Thank you for your cooperation.
We are excited with the continued progress and we look forward to the day when we bring you the final Friday fly-over when the project is complete. Until then, please get out and enjoy our home events and support our teams using the facilities.
