Mrs. Henderson's students invited staff members to a MARVELOUS Thanksgiving Dinner today! Students prepared the food & menu, decorated the room, set the table, served their guests, provided live music, and presented a video sharing why they are thankful for staff members!

A group of 8th graders got to attend MCC's first ever Health Sciences Career day at the brand new Career Advancement Center. They toured the $10 million facility that opened in October and got hands-on experience in different health science focused programs.

West Liberty Middle School's very own Monty Beal completed the Madison Marathon yesterday, his 9th. Monty set a goal awhile ago to do at least one post 60 and now he has accomplished that goal. Way to go, Monty! Comet proud.



Today ten young men attended the Men's Empowerment Luncheon at Geneva Country Club put on by the Greater Foundation of Muscatine. The students received a powerful message from guests and mentors about becoming strong leaders and developing into the best version of themselves.

Ten 8th grade students had the opportunity to attend a Women’s Empowerment Luncheon at the Merrill Hotel in Muscatine. The students learned many things about leadership and empowerment. The event was sponsored by the Community Foundation of Greater Muscatine.

Middle school students have been working in the courtyard. They've been cleaning, planting bulbs and putting things away in preparation for the winter.





Ms.Fernandez’s 7th grade Spanish World Cultures Students created ofrendas for their loved ones.
They tied in the important elements such as, papel picado, pan de muerto, calaveritas, candles, food & drinks and special items their loved ones enjoyed.
Day of the Dead is not a sad day, but a day of celebration to remember those that are no longer with us.






ISU visit for 8th grade females who are in Algebra. The conference focuses on STEM activities and careers. Some of the students are touring the College of Engineering, others may attend a session on coding or DNA work, just to name a few.
