West Liberty High School’s Jazz Band 1 is scheduled to perform at the Iowa Jazz Championships at 12:15 pm this afternoon! We wish them the best of luck at their competition!
On March 4th Jazz Band 1 placed 1st in Class 2A at the Southeast Iowa Bandmasters Association (SEIBA) District Jazz Festival. This placement earned the trip to Iowa Jazz Championships which West Liberty hasn’t attended since 1996. In addition to Jazz 1’s 1st place ranking, WLHS Senior, Mason Benedict also earned Outstanding Soloist for Class 2A at SEIBA District Jazz Festival!
