Construction Update

It was a very busy week south of the high school at the West Liberty Foods Athletic Complex. The lights are up at all three fields! The lights and poles for Giri Family Stadium and the baseball field are new. The softball field lights were taken down from the field behind the elementary school and put up at the new softball field. There is no power yet to these lights, so it will be some time before we turn them on.

The crew working on the bleachers have made significant progress. You can get a great view of these from the trail on the east side of the complex.  The Wiele Chevrolet Inc pressbox has been placed at the top of the bleachers.  Look for a video and write up on this later today - you won't want to miss it!  Crews have also started installing the sidewalk that will eventually go all the way around the outside of the West Liberty Athletic Booster Club Track. As other parts of the project finish up, you will notice more sidewalks being installed.  Lastly, electricians have been working hard, running conduit to areas around the complex where power and fiber lines will be needed. A huge thank you once again to the Melick Foundation for their generous financial contribution to the technology you will see throughout the entire complex.
Once again, West Liberty Schools would like to thank the public for not entering the construction site. This is for your safety and the safety of all the workers. Thank you for your cooperation.

Progress has also continued at the new ELC!  Check out the video below for the latest update.
