Friday Flyover

We are entering the final stages of the athletic complex project! Weather permitting, you will start to see more finishing touches being put on the project in the next three weeks. Early this week, turf crews were able to move their equipment off-site as they finished the baseball field and all four bullpens. Having three turf fields separates this facility from most others in the state! This will allow our teams, including our feeder programs, more access throughout the year to work on fundamentals. We also anticipate being able to host events that in the past we would have to turn down. This is a huge benefit to the community.

The school district is working with contractors on the final striping plan for the new, 8-lane track. Considerations are being taken to mark the track to be able to host larger track meets in the future.
Final grading work at the site is continuing. As this happens, crews will begin to form and pour the concrete sidewalks that will lead from the front of the school and new parking lot area, to the ticketbooth, and into the complex. The sidewalks will lead up to the baseball and softball fields, the concession stand and restrooms, as well as the bleachers on both sides of the stadium. With ramp access to the bleachers on both sides, the site will meet ADA requirements. The sidewalks will also continue around the south end of the track, going all the way around the outside of the track.
Stonework was completed on both the concession stand and the ticket booth. Next week, crews will start putting siding on both buildings. Work inside the concession stand will also increase next week. Doors were hung late this week helping to weatherproof the building as crews work on the inside.
The school district would like to thank the public for staying out of the construction site. We do ask that you continue to stay out of this area as crews continue to work. There is still standing water in areas and we don't want mud tracked onto turf and already poured sidewalks. We would also like to remind everyone that the new track and football/soccer fields are still off-limits as we let the track material finish setting up.

Thank you for your continued cooperation.
