In the process of continuing to clean out the former Early Learning Center (previously West Elementary School) Maintenance Director, Jeremiah Smith, came across the Bicentennial Storage Vault in a cornerstone of the latest addition to the building! This time capsule contains a variety of treasures submitted by Kindergarten-3rd grade West Elementary students and staff in 1976. Pictured below are just a few examples of the contents of the vault.

Mrs. Boyd’s 3rd Grade Class predicted 2025
Mrs. Butler’s Class submitted pictures of their Bicentennial quilt with a cassette tape describing each panel
