This year's National Honor Society (NHS) Induction Ceremony took place last night at 7:00 pm, sponsored by the Lions and Rotary Clubs of West Liberty. NHS President, Amerie Alvarado began the Induction Ceremony by speaking about NHS and lighting the center NHS candle. Officers David Mahoney, Hisrotian, Mya Elizondo, Secretary, Betsy Bejarano, Vice President, and Dionni Garcia Vasquez, Treasurer, lit the candles of Character, Scholarship, Leadership, and Service and spoke about what each candle represented. NHS advisors Ms. Skyler Appler and Ms. Melia Larson then presented 23 inductees! Guest speaker, Mr. Ralph Cardona presented to the group about Paths, Goals, and Choices and how these things will change throughout life.
The 2023-2024 McVay Chapter now has 51 members, 17 Seniors, 22 Juniors, and 12 Sophomores! Congratulations to the 2023-2024 inductees!
