West Liberty Community School District has partnered with River Bend Food Bank to provide the Healthy Kids Iowa program to families in need who have children ages 4-18. Families will be able to visit our Summer Lunch pick-up locations, and fill out or provide their completed application, self-attesting eligibility to be approved for the program. Each child will receive up to $40 of healthy for the month of June. Our July and August distribution dates will be announced soon.
Our June Distribution will take place on Tuesday, June 24th, at the sites and times listed in the flyer below.
Every family must fill out and present this application to receive food (forms will be available at each distribution site to fill out as well): June Healthy Kids Iowa Application
Healthy Kids Iowa food is only available once per month, per eligible child, for the months of June, July, and August. Eligible families may only visit one site per month to receive Healthy Kids Iowa foods. For more information about this program, please visit: hhs.iowa.gov/healthy-kids-iowa

(Please be advised that each box, along with additional refrigerated /frozen items, will weigh approximately 28 lbs. This will be a lot for one person to carry, you will want to bring a vehicle, wagon, or some way to transport these food items home.)
