The West Liberty Community School District is excited to announce that construction has officially begun on the new activities building, marking an important step forward in enhancing facilities for our students.
Dirt work is now underway on the site, which is located north of the softball field and directly south of the high school. The new facility will connect to the south doors of the high school, providing convenient access for students and staff. The building will feature a large, open turf space, batting cages, a new weight room, a team meeting room, a golf area, storage spaces, a two-lane track, and more - all designed to support student-athletes, physical education classes, and a wide variety of school activities. The project's estimated completion date is December 2026. To ensure the safety of everyone on campus, fencing has been installed to block off the entire construction area. We kindly remind students, staff, and visitors to stay out of this area for your safety and the safety of the construction crews. We look forward to celebrating this exciting addition to the high school campus and will provide updates as construction progresses.
