WL Athletic Complex Rendering

The West Liberty Community School District is pleased to share an update on the ongoing construction of the new West Liberty High School Activities Building. Work continued steadily this week, with contractors focusing on the installation of underground utilities, an important step in preparing the site for the next phase. This utility work will remain ongoing over the coming weeks as crews ready the area for footing installation.

WL Athletic Complex Week 5 Construction

Construction teams intend to continue work throughout the winter, keeping the project on schedule despite the recent winter weather conditions.

The District would like to remind all students, staff, and community members that the fenced-in area south of the high school is an active construction zone. For everyone’s safety, please stay out of this restricted area and be alert to construction vehicles entering and exiting the high school campus.

Today’s featured rendering offers a new perspective from the track that will surround the open turf area. Visible in this view are the windows designed to bring natural light into the facility at track level. These windows will be safeguarded with wire mesh protection to ensure durability and safety throughout the building’s lifetime.

We look forward to sharing additional updates with our community as progress continues, including more detailed previews of the facility’s interior spaces. Thank you to our students, families, and supporters for your continued enthusiasm and patience as we bring this exciting project to life.
