Indoor Facility Rendering team room

Construction continues to move forward on the new West Liberty High School Activities Building, with crews making steady progress on early site work.

This week, construction teams continued work on underground utilities, an important phase of the project. This work will remain ongoing as crews prepare the site for footings to be installed in the coming months.

As construction activity increases, the school district reminds the public that the fenced-in construction area is an active construction zone. For safety reasons, community members are asked to stay out of all fenced areas. In addition, please remain alert for construction vehicles entering and exiting the high school campus throughout the day.

Featured Rendering: Team Room

Today’s featured rendering highlights the Team Room, a versatile, multi-purpose space designed to support student-athletes and teams. This room will provide space for teams to watch film, hold meetings, and gather before, during, and after contests, among many other uses.

“The team room is an essential space for our programs,” said Activities Director Adam Loria. “It gives teams the ability to gather in one place and is large enough for an entire team to watch film together, meet, and prepare in a way we currently don’t have.”

The Team Room is located on the first floor of the building in the southeast corner, allowing for easy access from the athletic complex.

The rendering shows four doors serving the space:

  • The door on the right provides access to and from the main building entryway.

  • The door on the left side of the room leads to a short hallway, offering convenient access from the athletic complex.

  • The two doors at the front of the room serve specific functions:

    • The left door leads to the new trainers room.

    • The right door opens into a storage room.

The Team Room will be equipped with a projector and large screen, hooks around the walls for uniforms and equipment, and folding chairs to allow for flexible use of the space.

Additional updates and renderings will be shared as construction continues. The district appreciates the community’s cooperation and patience as this exciting project progresses.
