Rendering Week 7

We are excited to share another progress update on the West Liberty High School Activities Center project.

Recent site work continues to move forward steadily. The lines of gravel currently visible running north and south are the newly installed subdrain system that will run beneath the building. In addition, sanitary sewer lines have been installed. Construction of the east-side storm drains has begun, along with work on the east-side water service that will supply the building's sprinkler system.

As construction activity increases, we want to remind students, staff and community members that the area inside the construction fencing is an active construction zone. For everyone's safety, please stay out of this area and remain alert for construction vehicles entering and exiting the high school campus.

Today's rendering provides a view from the first-floor turf area on the south side of the building, looking to the northeast. From this perspective, you can see the additional space located outside of the turf area, beneath the track above. This area features concrete walls, adding durability to the structure while also creating a dedicated space where heavy balls and medicine balls can safely be thrown.

The large opening in the center of the first floor shown in the rendering is the main entrance. To the south of the main entrance is a hallway that leads to the trainers room, team room, and restrooms, as well as a door on the south side of the building that provides direct access to the athletic complex. North of the main entrance is another hallway that leads to a storage room, mechanical room, officials room, and a single-use restroom with a shower.

Also visible in the rendering are the batting cages on the second floor and the screen wall that separates the indoor track from the weight room.

Thank you for your continued support and cooperation as we work to bring this exciting new facility to West Liberty High School. We look forward to sharing additional updates as construction progresses.
