Weight Room View

Construction continues on the West Liberty High School Activities Center, with progress slowing slightly this week as contractors focus on detailed work related to the building footings. This phase of construction is essential to ensure long-term structural integrity of the facility.

At this time, there is no change to the overall project timeline. The Activities Center remains on schedule, with plans to open the building for use by the end of December 2026.

Students, staff, and community members are reminded that the site remains an active construction zone. For everyone's safety, please stay outside of the fenced construction area at all times. Additionally, be alert for construction vehicles entering and exiting the high school campus.

This weeks project rendering highlights a view from the top of the stairs inside the weight room. The design features windows along the east and south walls, providing expansive views of the athletic complex. These windows will allow abundant natural light into the space, creating a bright and welcoming training environment. To help manage sunlight and reduce glare, roller shades will be installed on these windows.

Please note that the equipment shown in the rendering is for illustrative purposes only and does not represent the actual equipment that will be installed in the weight room.

The district appreciates the continued patience and support from the West Liberty community as work progresses on this important addition to our campus. Additional updates will be shared as construction continues.
