Construction continues to move forward on the West Liberty High School Activities Center, with several key infrastructure milestones completed over the past week.
Contractors have successfully finished installation of the under-slab subdrain system. In addition, the site sanitary sewer and east-side storm drains were completed, marking important progress in preparing the site for upcoming phases of construction.
"As we reach these early milestones, it's exciting to see the groundwork of the Activities Center coming together," said Activities Director Adam Loria. "This facility will provide long-term benefits for our students, athletes, and the entire school community."
As work continues, students, staff and community members are reminded that the construction area inside the fenced perimeter remains an active job site. Please stay clear of restricted areas and remain alert for construction vehicles entering and exiting the high school campus to ensure everyone's safety.
Today's featured project rendering highlights the trainers room, which will be located off the team room near the south exit doors of the building. The trainers room is designed to support student-athlete health and recovery and will include space for two trainers tables, a large ice machine, an ice bath, and secure cabinetry for training supplies.
The district appreciates the continued cooperation and patience of the school community as construction progresses on this exciting new facility.
