Construction on the West Liberty Activities Center continues to move forward with significant progress made in recent weeks.
Contractors have completed the footings and walls in the connector area of the building. In addition, much of the north side concrete wall and footings are now complete.
Today, construction crews began pouring the footings for the east wall. Work will continue next week along the east and south sides of the building, where crews will focus on additional footings and wall construction. Weather permitting, plumbing and electrical rough-ins are also expected to begin in the coming days.
The district appreciates the continued support and patience of the community as work progresses on this important addition to the school campus.
As a reminder, the fenced in area around the Activities Building is an active construction zone. For the safety of workers and the public, please keep out of the fenced in area and be aware of construction traffic entering and exiting the high school campus.
