HOT OFF THE PRESS! West Liberty FFA Chapter is the #1 Chapter in Iowa!
The National Chapter Award Program is designed to recognize FFA chapters that actively implement the mission and strategies of the organization. These chapters improve chapter operations to emphasize growing leaders, building communities and strengthening agriculture. Chapters are rewarded for providing educational experiences for the entire membership. The top 23 chapters advance to the national level.
West Liberty FFA is the Superior National Chapter as the overall winner in the state, highlighting their nine best activities, three from each area.
West Liberty was also the overall winner in the Strengthening Agriculture division, highlighting;
1) Hall of Fame Wall Project conducted in the high school
2) 8th Grade Exploratory/FFA Program and programming
3) Elementary Mentoring/Ag Literacy Lessons with the 3rd Grade Staff
The chapter will be recognized at the state FFA convention in April.
