Homecoming Parade
This year's Homecoming Parade will start at 6:15 pm on Wednesday, September 23rd, with the parade lineup at 6:00 pm in the High School parking lot. The parade will leave the High School parking lot, turn east on Maxson Avenue, turn south on Calhoun Street, turn west on 7th Street, turn north on Elm Street, and end in the High School parking lot.
Pep Rally
Immediately following the parade, a pep rally will be held at the West Liberty Foods Athletic Complex Football Field at approximately 6:45 pm. Homecoming court will be introduced, WLHS band will perform, Coaches and Directors will speak, Cheerleaders will keep our Comet spirit amped up, and we will crown our Homecoming King and Queen!
Powderpuff Games
Following the pep rally, our Powderpuff Football teams will take the field; be sure to cheer on your favorite team!
Homecoming Comet Football Game & 2026 Comet Athletic Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony
The Comets will host Mid-Prairie at 7:00 pm on Friday, September 25th, with the 2026 Comet Athletic Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony at halftime. Let's pack the stands and cheer them on! Tickets are available for purchase on BOUND.
Homecoming Dance
Our 2026 Homecoming Dance will be held on Saturday, September 26th, from 8:00 - 11:00 pm in the JJ Nichting Showroom, 1970 Garfield Ave, West Liberty, IA.
