Hybrid Learning

We feel that there has been some confusion regarding our plans for in-person learning moving forward and we would like to clarify that, at this time, we plan to continue with our Hybrid Learning model for all West Liberty Community School District buildings except for the Early Learning Center (ELC).  This is the same learning model that we have been using since the beginning of the 2020-21 school year.

On Tuesday, January 19th Early Learning Center (ELC) students who have opted to attend classes on-site will return to on-site learning every day and their temporary A/B schedule will come to an end.  We are able to safely accommodate all students in the ELC because of their larger size classrooms which allow for students to socially distance themselves throughout the day.

Unfortunately, we do not have the ability in our other buildings to adequately social distance students due to larger student populations and smaller classroom sizes.  While we wish that we could bring all of our students back to face to face learning, we feel that this would not be safe at this time.  We will continue to reevaluate this decision to determine how to safely move forward.  We will be sure to provide communication to students, parents and families should this situation change.  Please continue to watch your email, the District Website, and our District Facebook and Twitter pages for any updates.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.
