NAMI Family & Friends

Families and friends are invited to West Liberty High School on Wednesday, November 10th 2021 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm.   The National Alliance for Mental Illness (NAMI) will be sharing a presentation called Ending the Silence.  We will serve pizza starting at 6:00 PM in the high school commons with the presentation starting at 6:30 in the high school gym.  The presentation is for adults over 18 years old so childcare will be available.

This free 90-minute program is delivered by a team of certified NAMI family educators who understand your situation because they, too, have been through something similar. Their goal is to offer practical skills and information to address your immediate concerns.

  • Understanding mental health diagnoses, treatment & recovery
  • Effective communication strategies 
  • The importance of self-care ā€¢ Crisis preparation strategies 
  • NAMI and community resources
