West Liberty Police Department, We Lead, West Liberty Community School District, Wal-Mart in Muscatine, surrounding law enforcement agencies, community volunteers, and many donors came together to create a wonderful Shop with a Cop event for 35 sponsored children from West Liberty Community School District!
The children were able to travel to Wal-Mart in Muscatine and spend one-on-one time with an officer selecting gifts for themselves and their families! Following their shopping spree they returned to the West Liberty Community Center where they were able to enjoy a pizza party and eat with the officers!
After the pizza party the children created their own craft projects, and played kickball and soccer while elves (West Liberty High School IJAG students) were busy in Santa's Workshop wrapping and labeling all of their gifts. Santa came to visit with the children and oversee workshop operations!
