Ceramics 2 had the opportunity to visit and meet with Andy Casto, the Ceramics Area Head and Professor at the University of Iowa’s Visual Arts Building. Students were able to see a live demo, graduate studio spaces and the state-of-the-art ceramic studios, kiln room, clay and glaze mixing room, and the outdoor wood fire kilns.

Tomorrow at 6:00 pm in the High School Auditorium is the free screening of My Ascension: a documentary film to spread hope and fight suicide, followed by Q & A with local mental health advocates. This event is open to anyone who wishes to attend, we hope to see you there!
Yesterday, seven high school students dissected sheep eyeballs. Students were able to look at the cornea, lens, iris, and retina. They asked excellent questions and really enjoyed the experience (although one student thought it was gross). #WLComets #science #dissection
