Last week, the West Liberty Agricultural Education Program/FFA Chapter was selected as the top agriculture program in Iowa in 2026. This award was announced through the Iowa Association of Agricultural Educators. The award specifically highlights the achievements and growth of the program over the last five years (2021-2026) in Classroom Instruction, FFA Success, Work-Based Learning Opportunities, Business Partnership, Marketing, and Teacher Professional Development.
West Liberty is now qualified to compete against the six midwest regional state winners for a chance as a national finalist.
Congratulations to the students, instructors, and FFA members who continue their strong work within agricultural education.

James Laughlin and JJ Garcia took 9 WLHS students to a Junior Achievement TITAN competition at Kent Feeds in Muscatine today. The TITAN competition allows students to compete as business CEOs. They make decisions about production, marketing, R&D, and corporate social responsibility. They learn how every choice made in an organization relates to its future success.
