Since the program began in 2004, $16,787.87 has been donated to WLCSD and over $1.56 million has been earned for all schools in the program. These funds are used to support programs and services that enhance student educational experiences in our district. Yesterday was a great day to plant some flowers from the FFA plant sale and seeds donated by Ms. Watts!
The third grade classes travelled to the Black Hawk Historic Site and Hauberg Museum last Thursday. They hiked and learned about native plants and birds, attended a lesson about native animals, took a tour of the museum and learned about Native Americans that lived in the Quad Cities area until the 1600s, then played games that Native American children would have played at that time. They had a blast!
