Preschoolers enjoyed Ag Day at the Fairgrounds today with West Liberty FFA students!










Yesterday, ELC & Elementary students got to move up to the next grade level and meet their potential teachers for next year and learn a little bit about what next year will be like!





3rd grade had an amazing time visiting the Old Capital and the Macbride Hall Museum!







This weeks #WayBackWednesday is our High School Industrial Tech Teacher and FFA Advisor, Mrs. Buysse-Harrold! She graduated from WLHS 10 years ago and started her career back as a Comet. If you need her this summer, she will be helping students get ready for the Muscatine County Fair and the Iowa State Fair!

Our High School Band students are looking forward to sharing the music pieces they've been working on with you, and then they will be joined by friends, family, alumni, and community members to perform two special pieces!

Reminder: All West Liberty Community School District Buildings and Offices will be closed on Monday, May 25th, in honor of Memorial Day. Classes will resume on Tuesday, May 26th.

Mrs. Forbes and Mrs. Appler took the Yearbook staff to Colonial Lanes to celebrate meeting their Ad and Book sale goals for the 2025-26 school year! They also hopped on over to Jet Air Inc. to tour and do some investigative research at the Iowa City Airport. Can anyone guess what next years yearbook theme might be!? Also, we might have some future Comet Pilots on our hands! Did you know, you can start to train at just 16 years old?!

Our Kindergarten students invite you to their concert on May 29th at 2:00 pm in the Elementary gymnasium! Doors will open at 1:45 pm. Their concert theme will be "I Grew!" We will see you there!

The middle school student council is promoting Mental Health Awareness for the month of May and will be having the middle school's last dress up week for the school year!

8th graders took a trip to the University of Iowa on Monday for Project Hope. Thank you to the University and all those that took time out of their day to have us!
