In the 2025 National Civics Bee held in Des Moines, Olivia DeShazo placed 4th and Georgia Clark placed 1st! Both girls were given free tablets, and Georgia was awarded $500. Georgia will go on to the next round in August to compete against 11 other finalists for $1000 and the chance to go to to Washington D.C.

Mr. Laughlin took a group of students to the Junior Achievement Titan competition today. The first group of Arikos Tietje, Reyli Rivera, Cole Daufeldt, and Cameron Elizondo placed 3rd and won $250 in scholarships each! The second group of Cody Seiler, Tytan Griffith, and Cael Daufeldt also competed in the competition.

They experimented with the speed items fall to Earth, how they are affected by the air around them, and how they react when they fall. They loved it! They had to make predictions about each object, observe it falling, and record the result and why the item reacted the way it did.
