It is National Substitute Day! Thank you to our building substitute at the High School, Holly Pearl! Every day Mrs. Pearl is doing something different. She is a teacher, para, and total rockstar at everything she does.
WLMS staff had a great time learning various instructional strategies from colleagues to engage and educate students in their curriculum!
Some of our students spent the day at the U of I College of Public Health learning about the aspects of college and what the College of Public Health has to offer. They started with a student panel talking to current college students about their experience, then moved through various lab stations learning how researchers learn about and solve public health problems, and ended their day with a presentation and activity in a mental health workshop! #wlcomets #collegevisit #universityofiowa #publichealth

Thank you to the West Liberty Fire Department for helping Nurse Tana Deahr with our high school CPR training since she acquired her CPR Training Certificate! Tana has worked closely with Brian Grassi, observing and teaching classes this year. We are very thankful for their participation in this new journey for Nurse Tana to help her first year go so smoothly.
