Wacky Wednesday for day 3 of Dr. Seuss week!
Salad lettuce supply in our buildings is limited and of poor quality due to storms, excessive rain out west, and our recent break/upcoming spring break. We will still offer fruit and other vegetables on the Middle and High School salad bars but may run out of lettuce this week.
Fifth graders enjoying Dr. Suess books with the elementary today. "The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go," Dr. Suess.
The CDC and Iowa Department of Public Health have announced that COVID isolation guidelines are now the same as the common cold. We have updated our Illness Guidelines to align with this, and will no longer require a 5-day quarantine following a COVID diagnosis.

Today was our kick off assembly for Dr. Seuss week at school and it is also Read Across America week!
We had a special guest appearance by The Cat in the Hat and we even measured to see that The Cat in the Hat IS taller than Mr. Ryan!
Tomorrow is our first day of Dr. Seuss week!
This coming week is Dr. Seuss week and the ELC/Elementary are so excited to be celebrating!

There will be a FREE U of I Medical Clinic at First Church United in West Liberty tomorrow from 1:00 - 3:00 pm! First come, first served, and open to anyone who wishes to attend!

8th graders analyzed fossils from the Paleozoic yesterday.
Today, students in Integrated Science A, as part of their Final Project, raced mousetrap cars. Each student designed and built a mousetrap car. Races were held in each class to determine a class winner and then the three class winners raced to determine a Trimester 2 champion. Congratulations to champion Galileah Castillo! Her mousetrap car traveled 76 feet 8 inches. Congratulations also to runners up Miles McConnaha and Jayden Thammavongsa/ Theo Solomon.
Preschool and KG registration and KG Dual Language applications will be released at 4:00 pm tomorrow, February 28th! We will have Chromebooks set up in the ELC Cafeteria during Parent Teacher Conferences for families who would like to register and/or apply for Dual Language in person.
