Students in Ceramics 1 and 2 also stopped at the brand new Stanley Museum of Art where docents (one being Deb Weiss, West Liberty’s former HS art teacher) gave us a tour and talked about the artifacts and ceramic pieces at the museum!


Ceramics 1 and Ceramics 2 students went on a field trip to the University of Iowa Campus. They spoke with the head of Ceramics, Professor Andrew Casto, toured the ceramics studio and facilities, and watched a demonstration by Ling Chung, a visiting artist.

WLHS is very proud of Amerie Alvarado and Interact Club. Amerie wrote a Griptape application for a $500 grant to purchase cleaning products to donate to families. Interact Club members put together the 15 baskets and donated them to the ELC.
