Today is the day for the Healthy Kids Iowa Food Box distribution! Children between the ages of 4-18 who qualify for Healthy Kids Iowa will receive a FREE box of food. Each family must complete the application to turn in for approval and receipt of the food. You can send someone else to pick up your food, just be sure that they have your completed and signed application to turn in.

Cole Daufeldt and Cael Daufeldt of the West Liberty FFA Chapter in West Liberty, Iowa, have been named national finalists this year for Agricultural Proficiency Awards. Only four FFA members nationwide are selected as national finalists in each agricultural proficiency award area.
Cole Daufeldt qualified as a national finalist for the Turf and Landscaping Management Proficiency area through working at the West Liberty Golf and Country Club for the past five years as a golf course assistant. Cael Daufeldt qualified for the Poultry Production Proficiency area involving his work at his family turkey operation BKBE Farms for the past five years as a farmhand.
