A HUGE shout out to Ms. Ingram for arranging for someone from Muscatine Conservation to come to all of our 4th grade classes to do an exploratory activity based around earthquakes! This was a perfect addition to our Geology unit and provided the kids with concrete examples of so many of the high level terms we’ve been learning about: earths crust, tectonic plates, seismic waves, ect! Here are some pics of the fun!

Influenza, strep, and COVID are high in Muscatine County. Influenza can take 5-7 days for symptoms to resolve. Please keep your children home if they are sick. Muscatine County Conservation came to visit 1st graders! They practiced identifying animals by their traits.

Each student in Mrs. Buser's class made growth in their reading scores! So Mrs. Buser brought in popcorn and they had Mr. Ryan as a guest reader to celebrate the whole class' accomplishments!

We look forward to seeing our Middle and High School parents tonight at Parent Teacher Conferences! The time is the same for both buildings: 4:00 - 8:00 pm!

In Walk to Literacy, 2nd graders accomplished their "Read for 100 minutes" goal and filled their star chart with golden stars by staying focused, working hard and showing caring comet behavior!
They got to do a fun "Magic e" activity. The students made ornaments with holiday activities that contain words with a "magic e" and put them on their "magic e" tree.
