West Liberty Chamber of Commerce annual dinner was held last night. We had WLHS students volunteer at the event for Silver Cord hours. Congratulations to Mrs. Jackie Henderson! She was named their Teacher of the Year!

In addition to the 1st grade Cider and Songs Sing Along Elementary students enjoyed a movie and candy canes PBIS celebration! We can't wait to see everyone back on January 4th!

Martin Lopez, Jared Terronez, and Jose Candelario, all members of the Quad Cities Alumni Network of Sigma Lambda Beta International Fraternity, came and talked with West Liberty High School students today. The professional panel discussed choosing careers/majors, beneficial study habits, time management, extracurriculars, organizations, networking, scholarships, overcoming struggles, and money management. Their fraternity is Latino based and members of their network come from a variety of local universities and have all established themselves in their professions locally and are looking to give back to their communities.

Principal Ryan has been making his way around both the ELC and the Elementary to do a read aloud with students before winter break!

Yesterday our fifth graders shared books and letters with our first graders encouraging reading. It was a wonderful experience for all!



Fifth and sixth grade students have been learning about depth and perspective in art, and are finishing their snowglobes this week!





The ELC had a sing-along 🎤 with retired music teacher Mrs. Ostrem today! They enjoyed singing lots of Christmas songs, complete with bells and reindeer antlers. 🔔🦌




We are so thankful for our partnership with Vision to Learn! Today they brought glasses for 97 Middle School students as a follow up to the eye exams they conducted earlier this year. We can not wait to see the positive impact this has on learning!
